Here for a good time
and for a long time.
Hi there. We’re a non-profit community supporting men's mental health and suicide prevention in the UK.
Have a question? We’re always open to chat hello@itsgoodchat.com.
“Sad” looks different for everyone.
So does stressed, tired, anxious.
“Happy” can feel like an impossible place to reach.
But talking is a tool. It sheds the stigma that keeps us from feeling connected. Talking is a bridge to a less lonely future.
At the end of the day, it’s good to chat.
We hold free
bi-monthly events.
In nice spaces around London with inspiring speakers from various walks of life.
Good Chat Speakers event April 2026!
In collaboration with Shoulder to Shoulderfounders Tom Stroud and Dan Shrigley. The modern men’s club fighting loneliness in London.
In strange times, community matters more than ever.
@stroudtom and @danshrigley will lead our next mixed gender event on April 28 at The Arding Rooms! These two know about the power of building bonds with one another as the founders of @shouldertoshouldercommunity.
Shoulder to Shoulder brings men together to build friendships, learn, and grow through real connection, open conversation, and a respectful, values-driven space.
7- 8.30PM at our new location, The Arding Rooms (SW11).
Free event - guys and girls welcome.
Food and beverages are offered at the venue.
Book this free event and bring your mates. You won’t regret a Good Chat.
Reflections from the room
“
It was not what I expected but just what I needed. Great place to chat casually about stuff I would never normally discuss with anyone, let alone other lads.

“
A great opportunity to talk openly about mental health in a relaxed community setting.

It was great seeing everyone being so honest, open and deep. So many times you just speak surface level but it was refreshing to hear some deep conversations from everyone.

A community that encourages open and vulnerable conversation without judgement or pressure.

Good chat was a big eye-opener. There are many others, from all walks of life, navigating the very same struggles as me. It’s affirming just to know you’re not alone, and that these feelings are normal.

I would say it was well worth going and certainly has changed my perceptions of mental men’s mental health awareness.

“
A safe space for men to talk about everything they’d like to talk about. No boundaries with no finger pointing or shaming.

Incoming Chats 2025
To kick off 2026 - Join us and speaker, activist and all around humanity-hype-guy Ben Hurst at the Wolfpack Pub Queens Park. We’re talking about emotional literacy - what comes easily and what doesn’t when we try to express our feelings (and why). It won’t be nearly as buttoned up as it sounds. We want to see you & your mates there!

Every day in the UK we lose 18 people to suicide.
Sadly suicide rates are rising for both men and women.
1:5 people will have suicidal thoughts in their lifetime.
It's not just the stats that shout.
People of all ages and backgrounds are facing a pandemic that's experienced largely in the dark - a pandemic of loneliness.
Mental health is a road and it shouldn't have to go as far as suicide for us to look at it. But luckily, it's the only kind of health crisis we can help, lessen, and even prevent by simply talking.
That's what Good Chat aims to do. Have a smart chat in a safe place with people you like, and can count on.
Our Mission
Our mission is simple. We aim to create a community where men feel supported and can speak openly about real things, without the stigma.
We’ll provide practical tools and create spaces for good chats to navigate mental health challenges together.
Together, we’re changing the conversation.
